Bedding

We supply Dorris Lumber flake shavings. Dorris uses only kiln-dried pine in our operations, never green wood. That means your shavings have an average moisture content of 8 to 10%.

  • Only flakes in the bag, not fines
  • Use a three-level vibrating screen to eliminate any dust

IMPORTANT: Please note that no outside bedding deliveries are permitted.*
*For horses with allergies, please contact facility management.

Hay

Our Alfalfa, Orchard, and Timothy hay is sourced by RT Hay, offering premium quality hay for your horses while at MEC.

Additional Fees

A processing and handling fee will be added to your online order – thank you!

Refunds & Cancellations

No refunds will be given on hay orders once these orders have been delivered. Bedding will be refunded minus a $2 restocking fee.

For orders that have not been delivered, refunds will only be issued if written notification is provided and meets the above deadlines. Refunds will be processed within two weeks of the close of the show or event.

About the Discipline

Reining

Reining is designed to show off the skills and athletic abilities necessary in the working ranch horse, and the movements seen in competition today have become extremely precise and highly refined. Horses exhibit individually—performing approved patterns that include small slow circles, large fast circles, flying lead changes, roll-backs, quick 360-degree spins, and the ever-exciting sliding stops, which have become the hallmark of the reining horse. Each horse automatically begins the pattern with a 70. Judges score each maneuver, adding or deducting up to 1-1/2 points based on the quality of the maneuver. Credit is given for smoothness, finesse, attitude, quickness, and authority.
