Bedding

We supply Dorris Lumber flake shavings. Dorris uses only kiln-dried pine in our operations, never green wood. That means your shavings have an average moisture content of 8 to 10%.

  • Only flakes in the bag, not fines
  • Use a three-level vibrating screen to eliminate any dust

IMPORTANT: Please note that no outside bedding deliveries are permitted.*
*For horses with allergies, please contact facility management.

Hay

Our Alfalfa, Orchard, and Timothy hay is sourced by RT Hay, offering premium quality hay for your horses while at MEC.

Additional Fees

A processing and handling fee will be added to your online order – thank you!

Refunds & Cancellations

No refunds will be given on hay orders once these orders have been delivered. Bedding will be refunded minus a $2 restocking fee.

For orders that have not been delivered, refunds will only be issued if written notification is provided and meets the above deadlines. Refunds will be processed within two weeks of the close of the show or event.

About the Discipline

Ranch Horse Competition

The Ranch Horse competition promotes the athletic ability and versatility of the working western horse. The horse’s performance should simulate a horse being ridden outside the confines of an arena. The overall cadence and performance of gaits should have an emphasis on forward, natural, and ground-covering movement. Transitions should be smooth and responsive.

Ranch classes include ranch riding, ranch flat, ranch trail, ranch reining, ranch cutting/cow work, and ranch conformation. There are divisions for open, amateur, and youth. Ranch Horse events are increasingly popular and open to riders of every level and to a large variety of horse breeds.
